What is a transition plan?

This plan offers you a smart, versatile and progressive transition to set a solid foundation for a successful 2021 season. The transition period is about preparing you for the specific training of the main season. It starts after the "off" period of 3-4 weeks, so the training begins easy, but progresses weekly.

The Transition Period lays the overall fitness foundation and has the following objectives:
1) Improve foundational strength and stability by general training
2) Sustain and improve cardiovascular endurance
3) Improve strength; conditioning of sport-specific moving muscles
4) Develop technical skills (focus on swim and bike) and range of motion.

To access the plan you will need a "basic" Training Peaks Account.

This plan is based off RPE (Rating of Perceived Exertion). We use RPE so we can accommodate athletes who are new to the sport but also because this time of year trainings zones tend to be in flux after the off season. This time is meant to build back a routine of regular training and also kickstart your aerobic engine for the upcoming 2021 season.
